I have two Associate degrees: Web Development Specialist and Graphic Design. I also used to work at a grocery store, but you can imagine how monotonous that was. Being an artist was always more exciting, and my passions have been deeply rooted in art and technology for practically my whole life.
Logos have always intrigued me ever since I was a toddler, and they clearly left a remarkable impact on my future. Whenever I was watching a DVD, I used to play the logos on repeat, much to the irritation of my parents if they happened to be in the room. That and it likely put extra wear on the discs. One time at a hospital, I supposedly wowed several doctors writing the Walt Disney script when left in the playroom (that paper of which is forever lost to time), but I don't recall wowing anybody. Might just be the innate lack of childhood awareness; any memory prior to my double-digit years is very foggy.
Given I had an interest in art, drawing was a no-brainer for me. In fact, it's still an ongoing hobby, though I've mostly stuck to doing it all digitally, as I feel that approach allows for way more possibilities, and extra room for error while leaving none of it behind (having an "undo" function alone is a godsend). If I ever feel particularly crafty, I'll give that a shot from time to time, though it involves a lot more mental planning and extra hassle, since traditional processes are a lot more permanent... for better or worse. I know nobody's perfect, but sometimes, I just set my expectations a little too high.
Cartoons are another form of artistic expression that I really enjoy. Not every one hits, especially nowadays, but it shows how endless our imaginations can be if we really try and push our limits. Most of what I like now is from Cartoon Network, specifically the 90s-2000s eras with a hint of 2010s. I'm open to the output of other networks or companies, though, and I can always look back at what raised me, such as some stuff from Nick Jr.
