LA28 Olympics — Hypothetical Pictograms

From the various official “A” logos designed for the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, I had to pick one and design complementary symbols for five of the sports, matching the logo’s design as best I could.

The one I picked was Aiden Kosaka’s logo, which was of the “A” (in Japanese hiragana, あ) grabbing a basketball, passing it, and then grabbing it again. I knew to keep the overall design of these symbols abstract to keep the letterform intact in some way.

To replicate the jagged/handwritten effect in a timely manner, I used Roughen since there wasn’t any exact one I could find without possibly resorting to third-party effects.
